Reps Production of Julias Caesar

A number of schools have already booked and paid for their tickets for students to watch the Reps Theatre production of Julius Caesar, which has already resulted in one performance selling out completely and two others being very heavily subscribed. A number of other performances have also received good bookings. There is still plenty of space for the schools that have not yet booked, and we would encourage advance booking as soon as possible. This is an O Level set book and even for those schools not studying this, the play will be a useful means of seeing how plays being studied are interpreted onto a stage.

Reps Theatre successfully staged Much Ado About Nothing last year as a schools set book production. After a number of requests from schools, it was decided this year to stage William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, and this production is being directed by John Dennison, running on the Reps Main Stage from September 13 to 22. A special price has been set for schools, with tickets discounted to $10 each. Schools can supplement their fundraising through a special share of income arranged by Reps for schools making block bookings for this production. Performances will be as follows (all 7pm except where noted):
Thursday - September 13
Friday - September 14
Saturday - September 15 (2.30pm matinee only)
Sunday – September 16 (2.30pm only)
Tuesday - September 18
Wednesday - September 19
No performance Thurs Sep 20 as this is the Combined Senior Schools Concert evening
Friday - September 21
Saturday - September 22 (2.30pm matinee and 7pm)

Bookings can be made with:
Philippa Johnston, Reps’ Society Secretary, who is available Mondays -Fridays, mornings only on- 335850 or at reps@mweb.co.zw or through Innocent Museve in The Spotlight booking office (open Mon-Fri 9am to 4pm, Sat 9am to 12 noon, and one hour before curtain up for all performances).
