Beloved uncle of Bruce and Linda Henderson, and Julie, passed away Monday 10th October 2011, after a brave battle.

I had the pleasure of visiting Dudley, Z22JE, and his lovely wife twice. Once in the 1990s and again in the early 2000s. I even got to know their two pet dogs. Dudley graciously helped me obtain my Zimbabwe amateur radio operator's license and let me operate his equipment as Z2/W8FTD. I wrote a little fantasical story for him featuring himself, his wife, and his dogs that greatly cheered him up. I will always have fond memories of all of them and am saddened to learn that he is a silent key. I first learned of his passing when I read the obituary section of the January 2012 issue of QST, the magazine of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).
