Safwguard Breakin report

Crime has taken an upwards swing and be aware of two real changes.

1.    Break in and theft from vehicles- at home and public areas. At home all have been from vehicles parked outside. A very cost effective solution to give early warning is an outside alarm sensor to cover the parking area at home. Far less expensive than repairs to the vehicle.

2.    Break in through the roof in commercial areas- we have mentioned this, a number of times over the last year, and it is on the increase. Make sure your security control equipment is in a protected area and cannot be tampered with, keep it away from staff and public eyes, and check your alarm coverage. Consider additional sensors/physical countermeasures to detect/ deter access to the roof

BREAK IN REPORT JANUARY 2015

On 01/01/15 at 07:50hrs in Graniteside, intruders jumped over the durawall and entered the yard, they climbed onto the roof, removed roofing sheets, entered the building and stole various goods, the alarm triggered and they ran away.  Property has, burglar bars, durawall and electric gate.

On 03/01/15 at 05:48hrs in Workington, intruders cut the bottom of the palisade fence and entered the base station, they disconnected the generator battery, the alarm triggered and they ran away.  Property has palisade fence.

On 03/01/15 at 06:02hrs in Eastlea, intruders removed 1 durawall panel at the bottom and crawled into the yard, they forced open one of the back windows and entered the office. They stole various items and went away, the alarm did not trigger because it was not armed.  Property has a durawall and electric gate.

On 07/01/15 at 04:23hrs in Colne Valley, intruders bend an electric fence support since the fence was off, jumped over the durawall and entered the yard, they stole a car radio from a vehicle which was parked in the yard and went away. There were no outside sensors to protect the car. Property has a durawall, electric fence and electric gate.

On 11/01/15 at 11:08hrs in Mandara, intruders cut an electric fence strand, jumped over the durawall and entered the yard, as they were approaching the house clients heard them and pressed the panic button, the alarm triggered and they ran away.  Property has burglar bars, durawall, electric gate and electric fence.

On 14/01/15 at 11:08hrs in Hogerty Hill, intruders cut an electric fence strand and jumped over durawall and entered the yard, they went and broke the kitchen door, the alarm triggered and they ran away.  Property has, burglar bars, durawall, electric gate and electric fence.

On 20/01/15 at 07:21hrs in Greendale, intruders cut the security fence and entered the yard, broke a window of a parked car and stole 2 batteries and went away, alarm did not trigger because there were no outside sensors to protect the car. Property has a security fence and burglar bars.

On 21/01/15 at 2101hrs in Greendale, intruders jumped over the durawall and entered the yard, went to a parked car and stole a laptop, the alarm triggered and they ran away. Property has burglar bars, durawall and electric gate.

On 22/01/15 at 07:50hrs in Marlborough, intruders removed 3 durawall panels and entered the yard, as they were approaching the house, the alarm triggered and they ran away.  Property has, burglar bars, durawall and electric gate.

On 24/01/15 at 0631hrs in Mbare, six intruders jumped over the palisade fence, subdued the guard who was manning the area, went on to vandalise the lock of the generator cage, took some fuel and went away. The guard pressed his panic button but they escaped. Property has palisade fence and screen doors.

On 28/01/15 at 0025hrs in Hatfield, intruder cut five strands of an electric fence, jumped over the durawall, entered the yard, stole a camera at the gate and went away. The client pressed his panic button after the intruders had already gone. Property has durawall, electric fence and electric gate.

On 28/01/15 at 2030hrs in Town, intruders cut burglar bars and broke a window at the front of the shop, they tried to fish out goods, the alarm triggered and they ran away.  Property has burglar bars.

On 29/01/15 during the night in Ard-mbare, intruders removed one roofing sheet and gained entry through the ceiling into the building, they vandalized some doors and screens which lead to the cash office, vandalized the strong room door but failed to steal any money. Property has Screen doors and burglar bars.

On 31/01/15 at 1337hrs in Glen Lorne, intruders scaled over the durawall and got into the yard, they forced open the front door and gained entry in the house and stole various items and ran away, the alarm did not trigger because it was not armed.  Property has burglar bars, durawall and electric gate.

BULAWAYO

On 20/01/15 in the CBD intruders went through the roof, broke the window of the ground floor showroom and part of the roof.  A video footage showed the intruder gaining entry through the ground floor window and exiting through the same window, footage also showed the intruder crawling through a blind corner in the Directors office to avoid detection by the sensor.  The intruder accessed the remote receiver and short circuited the system successful disarming the alarm.  Nothing was stolen.

MUTARE

On 04/01/2015 in the Murambi area at about 23:48 hrs unknown intruders forced open door to gain access into a residential garage. One inside, intruders smashed open passenger window of a parked car .The key holder heard noise and went to investigate resulting in the intruders running away.

On 09/01/2015 in the Nyakamete area at about 02:12 hrs unknown intruders smashed open window of a warehouse in attempt to gain entry. Patrol guards intercepted and the intruders ran way.

On 14/01/2015 in Fairbridge Park area about 16:51 hrs unknown intruders opened the door to gain access into a residential house. The house occupant screamed at the sight of the intruder who then ran away.

On the period between 02/01/2015 to 21/01/2015 in the Vumba area unknown intruders forced open window of a commercial building and stole various electrical gadgets. The premise is neither guarded nor alarmed.

On the 29/01/2015 in Sakubva area unknown intruders forced door to gain access into Store room. Once inside they stole various second hand goods.
