PETER LOVEMORE
The Bristows on the Limpopo were shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Peter Lovemore in Cape Town on 26th April. So sad for Sonny and their family. Our deepest condolences to all his friends and family. He brought us so much joy with his booming auctioneer voice, fabulous sense of humour and wonderful warmth. We'll miss him at Easter most!

Can I echo the sentiments of the Bristows, regarding the death of Peter Lovemore. We got to know him through our work as journalists and then when I was curating Zimbabwean sculpture. A man with an unquenchable appetite for life. A man, also, with a deep and abiding love for Zimbabwe.

I knew Peter when he lived in California. He traveled here in the early '80's and was a Thoroughbred auctioneer with Fasig Tipton. He was so proud of his heritage, his family, and his work. All of this came without a hint of pretentiousness. He made many friends while here in the U.S. and we all will miss his great sense of humor, laughter and smile. Peter Lovemore - you will be missed. All my condolences to his wonderful family.
