Econet learnt with sadness the experience of Mr John Trombar when he lost his vehicle in South Africa on the 9th of March 2016 and would like to appreciate him for sharing his experience to enable this community to take caution when travelling, especially out of the country.
In response to this unfortunate incident and the need to protect vehicles, Econet would like to offer this society a solution in the form of Econet|ConnectedCar. This is a world class vehicle tracking and monitoring system which monitors and relays vehicle data and reports to owner on the geographic location and status of their vehicles. In company set ups, this helps fleet owners and managers to locate as well as effectively manage and monitor their vehicles remotely via any web portal on a tablet, smart phone or desktop computer in real time.
This also allows users to save money on numerous operating costs by optimising their fleet’s fuel efficiency, better managing driver performance, streamlining reporting, improving routing as well as making efficient use of vehicles.
The standard installation fee is $50 per vehicle but Econet would like to offer a special rate of $30 per car to all members of this community who want the service before end of June 2016. After installation Econet|ConnectedCar customers will pay the normal $20 subscription per month. Roaming whenever vehicles travel outside of Zimbabwe will be charged at normal international roaming rates.
