The 2011 Reps Afdis Awards

The 2011 Reps Afdis Awards were presented at a glittering ceremony and show on Saturday night, with congratulations going to the winners in the various categories and commendations going to everyone who was nominated, as well as to everyone who undertook activities of any kind in and for Reps during the past year. African Distillers was thanked for supporting Reps through the annual awards competition and for so generously facilitating a sparkling show and after-event reception for nominees and other invited guests. Best actress: Ashleigh May Bawden (Much Ado About Nothing)

Best supporting actor: Paul Shephard (Much Ado About Nothing)

Best director: Graham Crutchley (Humble Boy)

Best minor performance: Mike Blackburn (Humble Boy)

Best first performance for The Repertory Players: Ashleigh May Bawden (Much Ado About Nothing)

Best stage management: Ryan Lawrence (Rent)

Best stage properties: Philippa Johnston and Gail Cooper (Fame and the Poet and Magic)

Best technical: Elinor Kennedy (costumes- Much Ado About Nothing)
