From 28 October 2013 passport applications submitted at the Embassy will be sent to the UK (rather than Pretoria) for processing – we anticipate no change in processing times (we currently advise 6 weeks). More information on the new application process is available on the GOV.UK website. Should you have problems downloading the form, please email the Customer Service Team in Newport who will be able to send you the form and guidance notes. Please note that you are required to submit a full colour photocopy of the entire current passport including all the blank pages. You can also apply for a passport whilst visiting the UK but there are no plans at present for a fast track service for overseas applicants.

If you wish to comment on or complain about the passport service you can email HM Passport Office Customer Service Team directly. You are advised not to book travel until you have a valid travel document.
