Worsley-Worswick - It is
with enormous sadness that we announce the sudden and untimely passing of John
Worsley - Worswick on Sunday 21st June 2015 after a short illness. John
was instrumental in the formation of JAG (Justice for Agriculture) which shaped
the response by commercial farmers and their workers after the Zimbabwe land
invasions started. John was highly principled and provided support to
farmers and their families during this time of great stress. John
was a “larger than life” man, a hunter, fisherman, raconteur, environmentalist
and wonderful friend with an acerbic wit and a deep love of the bush and
Zimbabwe. He grew up on the family farm in Marondera, before moving to
Darwendale where he farmed for many years. Our deepest sympathies go to John’s family and children Kate, Tom and
Rob. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
