DEATHS:

Betty Brewis passed away peacefully on Sunday 9th August at Edith Duly Nursing home. The family, Peter, John and Jane would like to thank the staff, and in particular Reason and Sylvia of Edith Duly most sincerely for the care and attention given to Betty whilst there. There will be a Memorial service at 10am on 1st September at Queen Mary House followed by tea. Greatly missed by her children Peter, John and Jane and their families.

Dearest Family & Friends in Zimbabwe

It is with great sadness we let you know that Sheena Collier, our wonderful mother passed away on Friday 14 August at 7.45pm.

Please forgive our late notice and if you have already heard our terrible news, we hope you will understand our shock and grief at her sudden death.

Although we were so very proud of her phenomenal fight against lymphoma cancer, on Wednesday she woke up in terrible pain. She was taken to her doctor where she was admitted and it was discovered the cancer was back. Mum was "comfortable" on Friday but confused and drowsy and she slipped away peacefully. Father John saw Mum on Thursday night and gave her last rites.

We have planned a full requiem mass for her here in Bloemfontein on Thursday 20 August at 2pm. She was the most remarkable woman, mother, wife and friend who touched so many lives and left an indelible imprint which will stay with us all forever. We know how special all of you were to Sheena and how much your friendship and prayers meant to her.

Our darling Sheena passed away in Bloemfontein on Friday night, 14th August 2009 after a brave fight with cancer.
Beloved wife of John and adored Mum of Cliff and Nolly Welch, Angela and William Brown, Cymantha Jane Horn, Chantal and Graham Connear and gran to nine grandchildren. Precious 'sister' of Neal and Jenny Leach.
Sheena was many things to many friends and loved by all. We will sorely miss your cheerfulness and positive attitude. A memorial service will be held in Bulawayo in October. To be advised.
