WILFRED GEOFFREY CURRIE
Please would you notify family and friends of my Dad's death on Sunday 9th August, 2009.
Having moved to New Zealand to live with his youngest daughter and family, Jo & Bix Howat, in January, spending Christmas with middle daughter and family, Helen & Phil Morgan en route, enabling him to be catch up with the scattered family doings. Youngest son, Malcolm Currie in Suffolk, England was able to spend time with him writing his memoirs a few years ago.
Wilfrid Geoffrey, Geoff, Currie played a part in the building of Kariba, seconded from The 8th Army , he was the Surveyor working for the Civil Engineers who had the contract to do the initial survey of the dam basin.
He started his irrigation company Irri"8" at the age of 60 putting in many schemes for tea and coffee in Eastern Districts. God bless Dad and 'sleep tight'. Seddon and Frances, Helen, Phil & Tashi, Jo, Bix, Dougal & Didi, Malcolm, Nicky, Alex, Anthony & Ludmilla plus grandson Micheal.
