Richard
Smith - Wankie research and Matopos passed away suddenly at the beginning of
the month. As most of you will recall Richard, after leaving the Department
joined the Transvaal Nature Conservation and was based at Percy Fyfe. He
specialized in game capture and saw his latter years of service out in
Polokwane (Pietersburg). Richard retired some 18 months ago.
Regrettably
no further information is to hand.
