City One Way Streets – comment from my office manager: When in the area this morning I drove down Robert Mugabe Road from Rotten Row to Mutare Road (where Enterprise Road comes in). It is one way all the way & clearly marked as such. I came across 2 vehicles trying to go the wrong way.

Please can you let everyone know that the potholes can be fixed !! There is a DYI Pothole mixture called Easi- Tar that people can use and it is very easy to use. We have used it in the past and l know that quite a few roads have put money in  a kitty and have fixed their roads themselves. You can get the Easi – Tar bags from Lakas Products. Tel : 04 -754018/19.

This old Zimbabwean habit of leaving dogs outside is asking for trouble in these lawless and uncaring days.  We are being warned constantly about
poisoned meat being thrown over our walls with the inevitable result of dogs dying a horrible death.  In my opinion, a really caring dog lover and owner would not tempt fate by leaving dogs outside.  What’s wrong with the garage, or an enclosed verandah if you cannot bear to have these wonderful companions and friends in the kitchen or bedroom?  The dog will still give warning barks if someone is around and on the premises…….get up and investigate !

It sometimes feels like I am a lone voice in this country... but, is there any chance that shop owners, architects, engineers, etc could incorporate ramps into their buildings? Sam Levy's village is a nightmare for wheelchair shoppers - especially the newer buildings at the back, which are 'no-go' areas for wheelchairs. I "love" the brand-new "Old Clicks" building, which does have a ramp (yah!) - up on to a level for the entrance - BUT there is an enormous step into the shopping area itself! Not much good that!....
NB I have emailed and had a good response from Maurice Levy on this – he has offered to add a few ramps in at appropriate places in the Village – Mike G

The city council is trying to ease traffic congestion with creating one-way streets, but could they also co-ordinate the traffic lights so the vehicles can keep moving.  This used to be the case, provided you drove at the speed limit.  It encouraged people to do just this and had the traffic moving.  At the moment a long line of vehicles moves from one light to be stopped at the next one, a block away!

Another thing is so annoying is that there are no markings on the humps on the road, Most of them are rubbed off, I am sure they can mark the humps again.
Also the potholes should be filled before the rains come or is it too late. Hope something is done soon.
