KARIBA ANIMAL WELFARE FUND TRUST  - REPORTS OF WOUNDED WILDLIFE 29/4/14

 

We have received a further 2 reports on the following

 

ELEPHANT

Wound on inside of leg

This has been checked and looks like an abscess that has burst.

It seems fine but will keep a check on it

 

ZEBRA – Seen near Nyamhunga with blood on the back leg

Looks okay and should heal on its own but will also keep a check on it.

 

We are still looking out for the small Buffalo herd as mentioned earlier in the week. We need to check the leg on the calf which is badly swollen.  The bush is still quite thick so they are not seen as often even though they are around.

 

Please keep a look out for all the above animals and try and let us know where you see them and time.
