Lions in Kariba



Below are points that Parks would like passed on to Kariba Residents as well as contact numbers for the Parks guys on the ground.

We are printing out and handing out in the area as well as driving around today with a Public loud hailer to advise on the below.
Please can everyone that receives this email pass on to all those they know and Houseboat owners etc. to their staff to make doubly sure that the message gets out.

Parks are working tirelessly to track and capture  the lion/s and we are all hoping that by tomorrow morning this will have been done.and will keep everyone updated according to Parks progress

PARKS AND WILD LIFE AUTHORITY - POINTS TO PLEASE ADHERE TO WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT = AREA MANAGER CHARARA SAFARI AREA

Ø  Avoid using foot paths that cut across thickets.
Ø  Use wide prescribed roads.
Ø  Avoid moving at night on foot.
Ø  Beer drinkers are also advised to avoid moving at night on foot.
Ø  People going for secretive prayers in thick vegetation are advised to stop going into the thick vegetation.
