........
As there appears to be some confusion regarding the various fees
payable I quote below the relevant portion of Statutory Instrument 19/2009
which sets the various fees currently payable:-
3. The fee payable for
a licence issued to a listener for a receiver in terms of the licences
regulations, or for the renewal of such a licence, shall be—
(a) in the case of a listeners' licence (sound-rural), US$10;
(b) in the case of a listeners' licence (sound-urban), US$20;
(c) in the
case of a listeners' licence (sound and television), US50
(d) in the case of a listeners' licence (sound-business
premises), US50;
(e) in the case of a listeners' licence (television-business premises), US100;
(f) in the case of a listeners' licence (sound-private vehicle), US30;
(g) in the case of a listeners' licence (sound-employer-owned vehicle), US80;
(h) in the case of a listeners' licence (sound and television vehicle), US100;
(i) in the
case of a listeners' concessionary licence, nil.
NOTES
1. Licences can be
purchased from ZBC Pockets Hill, Zimpost Offices and the ZBC Licence Inspectors
currently patrolling a number of Shopping Centre Car Parks.
2. As a matter of
practice Zimpost now requires persons purchasing a vehicle listeners licence to
produce the relevant registration book in order to assess the correct fee
payable
3. As from October 2012
listeners concessionary licences now apply to persons aged 65 or more(
previously age was 75). Concessionary licences are only issued at ZBC Pockets
Hill on production of one’s ID and a photo copy thereof.
4. A television licence
includes a sound (radio) licence.
5. Domestic quarters are
not covered by the employers listeners licence and need a separate
licence.
