We were involved in a hit and run accident this morning.
We are appealing for any information on the owner/driver of the vehicle who hit
us. It is a white Land Rover Discovery - license plate number AAW 7623. Driver was a European man in his 50s/60s with
longish grey hair.
He hit us on the corner of Churchill and Second street at
10.05 this morning. We were turning left onto Second Street! We pursued him
with the assistance if another vehicle but unfortunately lost him due to the
speed which he was traveling through the residential area trying to get away
from dealing with the consequences of his reckless behavior!
I am absolutely horrified that someone could behave in
such an irresponsible way. My mother was driving her blue Honda Fit, I was the
front passenger seat (24 weeks pregnant), and my 20 month old daughter in the
back in her car seat! Thank goodness we are not badly hurt apart from a little
whip lash and shock!
Any information on this man's identity can please be sent
to myself, or given to the Avondale Police Station where we have filed a report
of the incident.
