British passports

If further information is neede please ring me on 884663 - I am a warden.
From 20 January 2014, Consular Section will no longer accept passport applications at the Embassy.  Applicants will now have to submit applications directly to Her Majesty’s Passport Office (HMPO) in the UK at the address below:

HM Passport Office
OVS-D
Millburngate House
Millburngate
Durham
DH97 1PA

Customers are recommended to use whatever secure means they wish, and that can be any courier or registered postal service where the applicant is able to track their application to the UK and HMPO.

Please check passport information for details about applying for, renewing and/or replacing a British passport including passport fees, forms and guidance notes.  The correct form to use is the OS application form.  It has no barcode.  Should you have problems downloading it, please email the Customer Service Team in Newport who will be able to send you the form and guidance notes.

Please attach a credit/debit card form for each application.  Only MasterCard, Visa, Electron, Diners Club and JCB are accepted.  If you do not have a credit/debit card, kindly ask family or friends to use their card details then reimburse them.

To check on the progress of passport applications, please call the Passport Information Line on +44 300 222 0000.  Consular Section can no longer give status updates or assist with passport related enquiries.

Should you have any queries or wish to comment on or complain about the passport service you can call the Passport Information Line or email the HM Passport Office Customer Service Team directly

Consular Section will continue to be a Collection Centre, receiving the new passports on customers’ behalf and contacting them to collect, Monday to Friday between 8.30am - 10.30 am.
